Before Harry Fisher was Australia's favourite bush cook, he was an accountant who loved nothing more than camping with his mates on the weekend. When it was his turn to cook at camp, though, his mates always dug out their biggest plates. Eventually they just get him do all the cooking. After proving to his friends that they can eat better outside and over fire than at home, he started sharing a few recipes on YouTube and social media. Rather than the traditional camping fare of camp oven stews and damper, Harry started cooking the sort of meals you'd buy in a restaurant, but made it simple and did it at camp. People noticed. It didn't take long for Harry to become Australia's favourite bush cook.
